Marie O’Day is a Seattle-based graphic designer and illustrator with a strong background in both digital and print media. She moved to Washington to earn her BFA from the Northwest College of Art (now NCAD) and quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest—she’s been there ever since and has no plans of leaving.
Over the past few years, Marie has focused on freelance and commission work, bringing a wide range of creative projects to life. Before that, she spent five years at MedBridge, a Seattle-based healthcare education company, where she held multiple design roles. Her work there included fully animated explainer videos, live-action content enhanced with motion graphics, educational course slides, and a variety of printed materials for audiences ranging from clinicians to patients.
Prior to her time at MedBridge, Marie served as Lead Design and Marketing Developer for The Journey, a Utah-based company. Initially brought on to design their Wilderness Therapy Curriculum, she quickly took on broader responsibilities—leading full website redesigns and developing cohesive print campaigns across multiple programs.
“I was Marie’s manager for 3 years at MedBridge. During that time she demonstrated tremendous growth in her design skills and regularly pushed herself to learn new things. Marie is also a genuine and candid team member, who I could trust to bring things up (positive or negative) as she noticed them to help elevate the whole team. She regularly brought up ideas to improve both processes and team cohesiveness/morale, and would take the lead when given the “go” to implement them. Marie is just a good person to work with; she invests herself in both her work and her team.”

UX and Visual Designer
“I’ve known Marie for over a decade at this point, but only at MedBridge for 5 of those years and she was a stellar colleague to have. She started out doing MedBridge’s graphic design work, but when she was able to take the role as Animation Production Designer and shift to a more direct role our animation team, I felt like she really hit a great stride. Her boards were always solid and creative, which isn’t exactly easy when our work can be full of graphs and data. She has a keen eye for composition, alignment, and storytelling in her illustrations and graphic design work. Any team would be lucky to have her working with them.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Marie for 5.5 years at MedBridge. Since day one of training she’s had a keen eye for detail, was quick to learn new techniques or processes, and took initiative to ask clarifying questions when needed. The skillsets she showcased at MedBridge have ranged from document layout, icon design (her food icons were particularly satisfying), animation storyboarding, and infographics. Marie’s versatility and enthusiasm would be powerful assets to add to any team!”
